I know its been up for a while but I'm going through to see what fics I missed.
This is so cute and the so true. The best part was seeing my husband's raised eyebrow query every time I laughed.

A very touching piece, expressing exactly the exasperation and protective love a parent swings between.
Something occured to me though, which public school is opened AFTER July 4? (If they are celebrating July 4th then persumably it is summer and all public schools would be closed.) But I do see how this fits into the story. A slight change could be to make it day camp, or summer camp ;)
Author's Response: Thanks for your review. A hundred years from now, we may have space travel, an interstellar community and teenagers who wear bird suits to fight the Eeeeeeville Planet Spectra. It may be possible that term dates are different then.

I like to come back and re-read this from time to time. It's funny, sweet, and I can imagine the Chief having a picture of Jason with Mr. Rumplebum in his desk to use for the perfect moment. :)

Yes! This is exactly how parenting feels - overwhelmed and conflicted, beautiful and exhausting. Poor Chief.

Oh, this was cute. I made the mistake of reading it while at work and about snorked my tea. The only complaint I have is that this is waaaaay too short!
>Mister Rumplebum. (When he turns eighteen, I will use this information against him.)
Okay, I'm putting in a formal request. I want to see this! That could be a hilarious fanfic! :)
Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing, Julieann. I'm not sure how Anderson will use Mister Rumplebum against Jason but I imagine he's saving it for a rainy day.
