Author's Response: Yes, I liked the idea that the team, despite being the elite of the Galaxy, would not necessarily know everything. Perhaps Anderson preferred to test the new weapons with the Red Rangers and was worried of a security leak if the Phoenix also got outfitted with them. Not by the team of course, but maybe someone in Centre Neptune labs...hmmm...I can see a plot line surfacing here!

It's interesting here, the way you've tried to make Anderson the bad guy instead of Cronus. Why can't the Team be told about the new weapons? Shouldn't the Phoenix be outfitted if they're the front line of defense against the Federation?
Still, it wouldn't be the first time Anderson ahs kept secrets from the Team...
