Insofar as the new Gatchaman Crowds series goes - I'm watching, but I don't see all that much obvious in a tribute or tie-in to the original series. Time will tell...

For the moment, I watching it as it if were a completely new series with no ties to any other series whatsoever. The multiple threads of content have some "geek" factor - as I see some of these trends in current life.

Yep, i got it too. The server was recently upgraded to the latest PHP version which broke a lot of old code across the internets, and I'm wondering if that is the cause. I'm talking to a programming friend of mine to help out with it. If all goes well I'll have chat up and running soon. Sorry about the inconvenience. It really messed up our episode viewing weekend!

I was afraid it might be something like that - when all the messages say "Deprecated" it rather means "not going to let you use this any longer"....

Let me know if there is something I can do to help!

Another random thought -

Could Princess and Mark perhaps postpone or pull back on their potential romance after seeing the impact on Keyop? I'm considering that the two may choose to keep reserved from each other - and observing just the pain and panic of having one of the team reacting to someone they are attracted to without any reciprocation of feeling. It is difficult, as I like this episode in Gatch, and this one is a little disjoint....

Seems to me that this episode belongs among the arc(s) wherein Spectra is trying to determine who G-Force is in their civilian identify. Therefore - not too late in the process where it is "take no prisoners".

Good plot points in here: Keyop shown in a solo mission
Team covering up for a missing member - the "doll" appearance and subsequent substitution by the real G-4 can be taken as - why do they need to send the uniform to Keyop if he can transmute? - or it can be a cover for Keyop's reemergence as G-4 after rescuing the two youngsters.
Mecha are obviously using transformation capabilities. Not a common theme, but one we do see a few times.

Nice to see some activity here...

I was also wondering about enacting that visual verification process during signup... It won't catch everything (manual signup followed by spamming using the "authorized" account) but it could minimize the 'bots...

'Course, I'm currently sitting in a hotel from which I cannot send email because it is on the "known spammer/virus distribution IP address"... <<sigh>>

How to participate in the Art Show? Not so difficult... Roll Eyes

MadKatherine can help - she usually has the information for getting display panels and signing up (more forms... not diifficult).
I don't know about digital picture (photoshop) printing for art show quality - most of what I do is pen and ink/prismacolor for display.
However, adding a mat to the pictures is the next step after completing the drawing. Finding a good color contrast is helpful - but I try to keep my eyes pealed at the Art supply stores for sales. Remember that the picture is better off with a cardboard backing - and wrapping the piece in some form of film or plastic protects it from random fingerprints.
A form is usually supplied by the Art show to put on the back with Title, Artist, Address, Min Bid (sometimes even the "quick sale" price) and identification number...

After that - the finished art is hung (usually by the artist) on the designated panel, more forms completed for Art Show inventory check-in/check-out and bid sheets (these are usually coordinated with the form on the back of the piece) and everyone gets to "oooooooh" and "aaaaaaah" at the result. Then, if there are bids or sold pieces, the Art Show coordinator will record that information and get a payment to the artist after the art show has the books completed. The Artist can take all unsold pieces down at the end of the show (or make arrangements and payments to get the artwork shipped). Don't forget you can also display pieces "NFS" (Not For Sale)...

Now... where are those sketches?Huh?Huh? Smile I've got work to do!  Frustrated

Nice!

I've got to go back through the screencaps and get some of the animated series I captured assembled.... Nothing like a true Sumo Owl coming at you!

Does anyone else think Ken and Joe look so much younger at the start of Gatch 1 than they do as the drawing style matures?

Hmmmm...
Yes?

That sounds good to me. Smile

Email with said avatars in folders on the way...

Let me know if I can do anything to make it easier for you to import...

HOW many avatars?

I need to go browse. I have this sneaking desire for a Don Wade avatar (yup, I admit it, I'm obsessed.)

Yup.... lots and lots.... comes from an awful lot of screencaps from all three series - and the NTT commercials.... and I've neglected the OAV (at least for a little while...) Gotta have those visual references! (and animated gifs.... and...)

I have a few of Master Don Wade... Keep tuned!

Oh yikes. That many!?!?  Shocked
Uh.... Yup!  Big Grin  Talk about fun to do while listening to multiple web meetings...  Frustrated

If you want to email me a folder to put up, we can do it that way. Come to think of it, I need to add a few more off this thread that have been posted in the last couple months. Smile

Okay - shall I organize them into multiple folders? Say at least one per series.... then perhaps one for Villans, one for Mecha, one for Extras (the individual episode extra characters) and one for "The Team"?
