Summary:

The challenge: Each author sent to the Moderator a description of a story idea they would like to see written. Then each of those same authors were sent at random one of the story ideas and had 1 month to finish and turn it in.

11 fanfic authors answered the call!

Summary: The challenge is to add a character from another series who dissapeared at the end of any non fanfiction series or movie and bring them to the Battle of the Planets along with one of their most memorable enemies. Can range from a one-shot to a full story. Extra points if you can kill off Zark creatively

Summary: Set a scene or fanfic from any of the Universes in the middle of a Convention. It can be a sci-fi, comic, manga or anime (or all of them) convention. The geekier the inhabitants, the stranger the happenings, the better. The team can be in either uniform or civilian clothing.

For inspiration, here are a few phrases, inspired by past conventions. These are for inspirational only, they do not have to be included:

Summary: My son came back from the Ortho yesterday with an appliance in his mouth that makes it difficult to eat right now. Basically only soft stuff including jello. That got me thinking about a story involving at least two characters and jello. Any universe, any characters. :)

Take a particularly silly episode, any series, and tell the same story - better.

With additional riders: " I think that would have to be with the stipulation that the horrible moments remain unchanged, that we're only writing to retcon the thing and make it actually work WITH the dumb parts. So you can't rewrite the episode so the giant bowling ball is NOT sucked into the magnet, or so the magnet gets yanked up off the mountain the way the laws of physics would dictate." from Jane.

And from me: "Just to clarify, it can be any episode from any series (preferably not one of the ones which already has fanfic versions of it, but those tend not to be the silly ones in any case). Not a parody, a retcon of the storyline. AUs are fine, and if you're writing BotP, Zark is optional."

Summary: Rewrite the episode 'A Challenge for the Science Ninja Team' so that it makes sense. Get rid of (rewrite, or adequately explain) any silly bits. I don't know if there was a G-Force:GOS version.

Summary: 'To make a goat's tail of it' : to get to the heart of a matter, to
cut a long story short. Ga proverb.


I'm not generally much for challenges but I thought that this one
might just be interesting.

Tell a complete story in no more than 1000 words, one with a
beginning, middle and end. One that goes somewhere. One that stands on
its own two (or four, or 100 rocket propelled legs) feet -- ie no
extracts of bigger works and no need for a person to refer to anything
else you may have written to 'get' it better.

Tell it about anything at all that's construable as Gatch related.

Tell it between September 15th and October 31st. Look forward to
seeing what happens.

Oh, and if you take up this challenge, you don't have space to waffle
about the colour of Joe's eyes. We can see they're blue.

Summary:

A canon character gets transported to another world/universe/dimension.

The universe can be an original one or one that already exists, from any realm of fiction. That includes worlds where magic exists.

If the character who is transported is a team member, their transformation does not have to work, provided that there is a reason other than that they are not on their homeworld.

The common mistake of a good guy thinking another good guy is a bad guy and having a fight must not appear.

The character must be headed or at home by the last paragraph.

It cannot be just a dream.
