I have been a fan of BOTP since I was a kid who would run off the bus everyday to get her afternoon fix. I loved the mecha (though I didn't know that word back then!), the battle scenes, the weapons, etc. But the thing that kept me coming back for more was the relationships. No other show on was like this.

I have started to write down all those stories that have piled up in my head for years. I hope to be sharing more of them here soon. I am always looking for feedback. How can I improve with out feedback? :D

I will beta read if I have time. I look for grammar and such, but also plot holes or things I think just don't make sense (or at least not to me). My knowledge base is mostly BOTP, but I will beta Gatch as well.

LOL. I love the line "Well, Aunt Merv in the Henhouse!" It clearly dates him. This was a wonderful response to the challenge. That story generator is eeevil. Ha!

One little typo I think..."grateful for the added few (minutes or moments?) of life."

Author's Response:

Thanks for pointing out the typo. All fixed now!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. The spunky old guy definitely dictated to me how he wanted the story told! At first he was supposed to die (the 'tragic' part), but he didn't like that one little bit. Obviously that was changed immediately. The line you mentioned came out of thin air! And once it was down on paper, I didn't change a bit of it in revision. It just felt so much like him. ;)

Nicely done as always TJ. I still find it intersting that Mark has not recovered his memories. Those drugs they pumped him with sure must have done something! That said, and I nit pick because I like it, in this and the last story Mark seemed more whiny and useless. In the earlier story he still came across stronger and able to lead, even if the skill was not known it was clear to those around him that he was a leader. Around Jason in particular he seems insecure, and this is inconsistent with earlier behavior. Keep up the great writing! And November....seriously...lol...not sure I can wait that long!

Author's Response: Fair enough... keep in mind that two things are different in this fic. First of all, it's from Jason's POV. He is remembering the 'old' Mark, and is a little confused by the memory-less Mark. The other is that Mark himself is a little more insecure in this fic, because he is with two people who are remembering things and taking for granted certain things (such as the knowledge that Zoltar always has an escape pod) and yet he can't recall information that to them seem basic. And yet he is supposed to be their leader. That makes him a little more nervous and he fills his role a little differentyly from how you would remember from the series. In any case, the POV in the next fic is NOT Jason, so things will shift again. *grin*

Once again you have written another great story! The twists in this one were great. I especially liked the last chapter where Tiny "confesses". It was so him. He was bursting at the seams with his guilt through this whole piece. Andie is a believable character and it will be interesting to see how this character develops in the future. I am a bit surprised that she did not recognize Mark though....or at least she could have being in the Rigan Forces. Looking forwward to the next installment. Well done!

Author's Response:

I was going with the (admittedly weak) BOTP portrayal that the G-Force team's identities were secret, as well as the idea that no one knew that Mark was Cronus' son. This is actually mentioned (briefly) in the beginning of the next fic, which I'll start posting soon. I agree about Tiny having the character to confess... both in terms of plot, and in terms of personality. He cares for his friends and in the back of his mind he wonders if he's 'good enough' to be a part of the team... and that minor 'wondering' is magnified significantly when he 'abandons' them in the final battle. Hence the title of the fic... In any case, it's on to another POV in the next fic, so I'll try my hand at more character insight. ;-)

I really liked this. Mark would hate to be writing such a letter. Although they are young I am certain they have many adminstrative duties that they dislike.

My favorite line:
I've lost track of the number of times we've had to blaze out of bases collapsing around us, or enemy ships being taken down in flames by their own crew. These people are nuts. I run around in a bird suit most days a week, and I say this.

So him!

Well done!

Author's Response: Thank you for the feedback! I had a lot of fun writing this: it was one of those stories that started with a "Hey, how about this?" thought and then took off running. I enjoy poking around behind the scenes like this, looking at what kinds of things the team might have to deal with in their off time and what their everyday lives might be like. And if there's an opportunity to write something that makes people chuckle, so much the better. :)

Well done TJ! I really liked this whole series. You capture each character's spirit and let them grow. This was a great after series story. There were a few parts where maybe you jumped a bit too far forward - or at least it seemed like you filled in less detail than you did in most of the work. For example, the battle to regain earth, and how Mark and Princess took out the rest of the ship to ultimately capture big bad purple are two off the top of my head. Of course this could be me not wanting the series to end!

Not that it is needed in this fic, but Mark is sure gonna have some issues to deal with now that he is remembering all that happened to him at he hands of Spectra. I get the feeling that what he has recalled so far is only the beginning.

Once again, well done! I think this may be one of my favorites!
