I'm in a re-reading mood lately and keep getting annoyed with myself when I see I didn't leave reviews the first time through. Luckily, that can be fixed now. :)

This is definitely a kleenex story. I like that you gave a catalyst event for Jason leaving that collection of letters, though given what they do for a living it wouldn't seem necessary. It shows that even for people like this, there's a point where it feels _real_ that they could be killed.

I also like that you gave us multiple points of view, each going through their own riot of emotions. Grief is messy and complex, and the frustration that he died in a routine traffic accident I can see being almost maddening.

I cried.  Heartbreaking and bittersweet for all.

I can't believe this has no reviews!  I love this piece; it's sweet and poignant, and the team's loss jumps off the page at you.  Having Jason killed not by Spectra, or by racing, but simply driving home, is a wonderful bit of irony.
