Amazing the problems ego can get people into -especially when the jerk with the fragile ego is in charge. (Yes, I mean Haroldson.)
And I really, really like the ending. It makes sense, too; when fighting an enemy like Galactor, you can't appear vulnerable, even to your own people. Even one crack could start a devastating cascade.

This fic takes you from humor to drama and back again. You have a great characterisation of both Condor and the Marines, and I can so easily see the Eagle decision as pausible. Great!
