Really nice introspective into what makes them both tick. Love the descriptions...especially "Death rides our wings and watches over our shoulders..." and the reassurance that they " are not alone"... Great writing!

Wow... this really gives me a lot to think about. In less than 1,000 words, you've really done an insightful character analysis here, not to mention an analysis of the issue that keeps many of us fanfic writers up all night. ;-)

When I first read this I was wondering who it was, without actually reading the intial characters in your intro...
But I'm glad I didn't because it made me think about who it was...and how familar they are with predicting each other and thier movements...mirrors is a good theme for this.
I really enjoy your stories Sal and would love to read more if you decide to post them from your hard drive!
