wonderful story! Another hero falls. Begs the questions, what will others say of the team years from now?
Author's Response: Good point. History often comes up with different conclusions than those who were in the thick of things. That might make an interesting vignette.

Thanks for a great read! I'm not so familiar with BOTP, but I've enjoyed reading your fic a lot, finding it standing well on its own! I love how you've dwelt upon Jason's character and the effect his discovery had on him.
I don't have very many stories focusing on Jason, so this was fun to read. He's always seemed a character that feels things deeply but tends to hold it in (a symptom of the classic loner ;) )Because of that, he was the obvious main character for this kind of story.
I'm glad you liked this little view in his head. :)

Julieanne, this is a great fic! It highlights Jason very well and shows the way the war can beat them down. It makes us feel for him.
War is a horrible thing. While I like happy endings, I wanted to highlight that with this. The team won, but in a way they also lost.
Glad you enjoyed it. :)

Very deep and thought provoking! This casts a realistic light on BOTP...I would enjoy your version even more! Great work, Julieann!
Author's Response: Hehe, isn't that what fanfic is for? To bring even more depth into the stories we love? ;)

A powerful story and a delight to read.
What makes this even more interesting to me is the choice of lead character. I can't help but wonder if it had been Mark telling the same thing whether Princess would have questioned his news.
It's also interesting to speculate on exactly what Jason feels at his discovery.
Author's Response: I think Mark's response would have been very very different. Different point of view, and Princess responds to him differently. It was fun to play with Jason's viewpoint about the issue.
