Nicely done! PTSD is a big thing right now with the active engagements going on. (yes, it's politically correct, I'm not 100% civilian yet!). As far as the "it depends" answers are spot on. I think a lot has to do with the individual, how resilient he/she is and the sum of experiences up to the recalling of the memories. You summed it up well!
Author's Response: Thanks, Bobkat. That means a lot. I really wanted to stay true to life here and honor Jason's struggles realistically. Glad it worked for you. :)

You've certainly come up with a different, yet valid depiction of Don! I like the way you tied this into Jason's background and explained many of the inconsistencies in the episode iteself. I really enjoyed reading this!
Author's Response: Thanks, TJ. This was a very satisfying piece to complete, even if I did stick Jason with some unwelcome news. At least he knows why he's having so many problems! The actual episode never did provide an adequate response to his health issues.

Jukie, I love this! An interesting interpretation of the Jason/Don conflict that was never explained.
Poor Jason! Can't chose your family, but you can chose your friends.
Author's Response: Thanks, Becky! Well, it's all Myra Wade's fault. She's the one who said that Jason reminded her of Don. Thanks for letting me know that I had a chapter missing earlier - figures it would be a pivotal one!
