Has anybody else seen gatchaman crowds? I just watched the first episode,it's definitely a tribute to gatchaman! I actually liked it.( was prepared to be horrified)

I've been watching the episodes on Anime44 as they become available. It's been an interesting show so far, but I really don't see what it has to do with Gatchaman at all. It feels more like they slapped the name on it to take advantage of the nostalgia factor.

Not that it's not fun. It is. It just isn't Gatchaman.

Just watched another episode today, the one with the cube-thing. Interesting twist. It will be interesting to see how they bring all the threads together.

Insofar as the new Gatchaman Crowds series goes - I'm watching, but I don't see all that much obvious in a tribute or tie-in to the original series. Time will tell...

For the moment, I watching it as it if were a completely new series with no ties to any other series whatsoever. The multiple threads of content have some "geek" factor - as I see some of these trends in current life.

At times it seems quite disjointed,but the gatchaman references increase with the introduction of berg katse and the galax app.
I agree it's no gatchaman! Nothing can replace my love of gatchaman! Gatchaman crowds is interesting but suffers in comparison to the original. Otaku USA has a article on the original gatchaman in the current issue!
